RELEASE YOUR INNER VOLUNTEER! During the summer months, as the daily activities increase, we need dozens of volunteer’s help to carry out the Rim Country Community Center mission to provide outstanding programs and services to the residents of Heber/Overgaard. Right now we need:
- Thrift Store volunteers
- Front Desk volunteers
- Fundraising assistants
- Event assistants
If you can give us a couple of hours a week, please stop by and pick up an application. It’s easy, fun and a great way to get to know your neighbors!

On Thursday June 8, 2017 is our annual election of Board members. All “current paid-up” members are eligible to vote so please be sure to cast your ballot.
A reminder that Addie’s Thrift Shop is now also open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. as well as Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come by to check out the new expanded area for furniture shopping located on the front of the building.
Mark Your Calendar: Saturday May 13, 2017 from 8 am to 1 pm is the Flea Market / Mother’s Day Bake Sale / $3 Lunch Special
The community Center will be holding a Flea Market the 2nd Saturday of each month. Mark your Future dates : June 10, July 8, Aug. 12, Sept. 9. Outside Vendor Car Spots are $5 and inside Vendor Spots (60″ round table) are $10 – vendors may sell anything with the exception of food. Get there early to pick up your Mother’s Day celebration baked goodies. The Community Center will be selling a Bratwurst lunch including chips and soft drink for just $3, as well as various yummy baked goods.
Next on Saturday May 20, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. is the $5 Spaghetti Dinner – What a deal! Spaghetti dinner including Caesar Salad, French Bread, Beverage (Non-alcoholic) and Dessert. Feel free to bring your own wine or beer. It was a huge hit at the first affair! Call early for reservations to (928) 535-5525 Mon- Fri from 9-1 as space is limited. We sold out early last time, so don’t snooze or you’ll lose. Future dinners will be held the 3rd Saturday of each month. (June 17, July 15, Aug 19, Sept 16).
The community center wants to start a weekly Weight Watchers meeting beginning May 24th. We need a minimum of 15 participants. The fee is $156 per member for a 12 week session and must be paid in full at your initial visit to the RCCC. This includes a voucher for 3 months of free Weight Watchers’ E-tools. Lifetime Members who are at goal are free. If you have interest please call Rosalie Mueller at 602-317-9494 so class doesn’t get cancelled.
