The Parent Teacher Committee (PTC) at Heber-Overgaard Schools look out for the student’s education but also plan different events that are positive and fun for the K-6th graders and their teachers. As an organization, we’re bringing back a Year End Celebration and also have plans for a big kick off in the fall. As of right now we have approval to hold a Carnival at Mogollon High School on Wednesday May 24, 2017. The school district has implemented a Wellness Program at the school to help students get moving; so to take advantage of that there will be activities including a jump rope contest, basketball, hula hoop and many more moving and fun things for the kids to do. The school cafeteria will supply fruit and bread but we’re looking for some additional help from the community for the following items:
- Face painting supplies
- Softballs & Footballs
- Old Pillowcases
- Bean bags
- Small plastic ducks (that float)
- Store bought packaged cakes, e.g. Hostess Twinkies, Little Debbies, etc.
- Ketchup, mustard, relish
- Bottled water and Capri Sun drinks
- Individual servings packaged chips
- Cotton Candy & Snow Cone supplies
- Large ZipLock bags
- Tickets of different colors
We’ll be feeding around 350 to 400 students on this day of play to end the school year. We’ve just begun our journey and appreciate all the help we can get. Call Mountain Meadows at 928.535.4622 or Angela Reidhead, President MMPS PTC, at 928.606.5370.
