We are all happy about the rain today on June 16th but it is not the weather condition for “garage queens” at a car show. On a personal level I am not a car buff but Aaron at NAPA filled me in on some buzz words like “garage queens” and “everyday drivers”. The spirit was there today. They had hot dogs on the grill and the exhibitors were there with their display products like brake and chassis parts, etc. There were a few people walking around waiting to see if the rain would clear. I spoke with the owner of a flashy red and yellow ‘55 Ford. He was Ken May and he said he is a daily driver and his wife Roxie drives a hot-rod as well.
Timing is everything and if I would have showed up a little later I am told about ten cars did show that day. Donna Krieser had this to report on the outcome of the show.
“Everyone enjoyed the rain, vehicles, equipment demonstrations, giveaways, and hot dogs. Terri Simmons was the winner of the grand prize tool box. The gang at NAPA thanks everyone who came out and we hope to see you next year June 15, 2019.
