Not every community gets to celebrate their Oktoberfest nestled in the tall pines with perfect temperatures; but we do. As I arrived today good tunes were coming from the Gazebo by local band, Siringo, and the beer garden was packed with lively people drinking beer, eating, and enjoying the day. Oktoberfest is a time of festivity enjoying the season of harvest.
It was my pleasure meeting with the new office manager of the Heber-Overgaard Chamber of Commerce, Jessee Carlson. She was having a great time talking with people and felt it was a great turn out. Ms. Carlson told me there were about 25 arts and crafts booths and about 10 food vendors total. Our Chamber are the promoters of this event every year and their diligent efforts adds a couple of days of fun in the sun at the end of the summer season. Thanks to all the volunteers whose hard work made it possible.
